Live Translate 是一款用于实时字幕翻译、网页翻译和划词翻译的 Chrome 扩展。当前 BYOK 版本不运行开发者自有的应用服务器；需要 Gemini 的功能由扩展直接连接 Google Gemini API。

Live Translate is a Chrome extension for real-time subtitle translation, full-page translation, and selected-text translation. The current BYOK version does not operate a developer-owned application backend. Features that use Gemini connect directly from the extension to the Google Gemini API.

1. 我们处理哪些数据 / Data We Process

• 网页内容 / Website content: 当您主动使用整页翻译、划词翻译或字幕翻译时，扩展会读取实现该功能所需的当前页面文本或字幕内容。 / When you explicitly use full-page translation, selected-text translation, or subtitle translation, the extension reads the page text or subtitle content necessary to provide that feature.
• 标签页音频 / Tab audio: 只有在您主动开启实时字幕翻译会话时，扩展才会捕获当前标签页播放的音频。 / Tab audio is captured only while you explicitly run a real-time subtitle translation session.
• 麦克风音频 / Microphone audio: 只有在您主动启用相关麦克风翻译功能时，扩展才会处理麦克风音频。 / Microphone audio is processed only when you explicitly enable a microphone-related translation feature.
• Gemini API Key: 由您自行提供，并保存在当前 Chrome 配置的 chrome.storage.local 中。 / Your Gemini API key is provided by you and stored in chrome.storage.local in your current Chrome profile.
• 扩展设置 / Extension settings: 语言偏好、术语表及其他必要设置保存在 chrome.storage.local 中。 / Language preferences, glossary data, and other necessary settings are stored in chrome.storage.local.

2. 数据如何使用 / How Data Is Used

• 标签页音频仅在实时翻译会话运行期间处理，并在需要 Gemini Live 时直接发送至 Google Gemini API。 / Tab audio is processed only during an active translation session and, when Gemini Live is required, is sent directly to the Google Gemini API.
• 扩展不会将捕获的音频保存到本地磁盘。 / The extension does not save captured audio to disk.
• 网页翻译、划词翻译和支持的原生字幕翻译会优先使用 Chrome 内置 Translator API。 / Full-page translation, selected-text translation, and supported native-caption translation prefer Chrome's built-in Translator API when available.
• 当 Chrome 本地翻译不可用或语言组合不受支持时，相关文本可能通过您自己的 Gemini API Key 直接发送至 Google Gemini API。 / If local Chrome translation is unavailable or a language pair is unsupported, the relevant text may be sent directly to the Google Gemini API using your own API key.
• Gemini API Key 仅在调用 Gemini 功能时发送至 Google Gemini API，用于身份验证。 / Your Gemini API key is sent only to Google Gemini API endpoints when a Gemini-backed feature is used, for authentication.

3. 网站访问权限 / Website Access

网页翻译和划词翻译使用可选网站权限。扩展不会在安装时自动获得所有网站的访问权限；只有当您主动使用相关功能并授权当前网站后，扩展才会读取或修改当前页面中实现翻译所需的可见内容。

Full-page translation and selected-text translation use optional website permissions. The extension does not automatically receive access to all websites at installation. It accesses the current website only after you explicitly use the relevant feature and grant permission.

4. 第三方服务 / Third-Party Services

Gemini API 请求由 Google 按照其适用的 Gemini API 条款和隐私政策进行处理。免费和付费层级可能适用不同的数据处理、保留和计费规则，请在使用前查看您 Google 账户所对应的最新 Gemini API 条款。

Gemini API requests are processed by Google under Google's applicable Gemini API terms and privacy policies. Free and paid tiers may have different data-handling, retention, and billing rules. Please review the current terms that apply to your Google account before use.

5. 我们不会做什么 / What We Do Not Do

• 当前版本不包含广告 SDK、分析 SDK、遥测 SDK 或崩溃报告 SDK。 / This build contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, telemetry SDK, or crash-reporting SDK.
• 不会出售用户数据。 / We do not sell user data.
• 不会将用户数据用于与 Live Translate 单一翻译用途无关的目的。 / We do not use user data for purposes unrelated to Live Translate's single translation purpose.
• 不会使用用户数据进行信用评估或贷款相关用途。 / We do not use user data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
• 不会从远程服务器下载或执行扩展代码；扩展执行代码随 Chrome Web Store 安装包一起发布。 / We do not download or execute remote extension code. Executable extension code is packaged with the Chrome Web Store build.

6. 您的控制权 / Your Control

停止实时翻译会结束当前音频捕获并关闭相关实时连接。删除扩展后，扩展本地数据将按照 Chrome 的扩展存储机制处理。您可以随时撤销某个网站授予 Live Translate 的访问权限。

Stopping real-time translation ends active audio capture and closes the related live connections. Removing the extension clears extension-local data according to Chrome's normal extension storage behavior. You may also revoke Live Translate's access to any website at any time.

7. API Key 安全建议 / API Key Security Recommendation

Gemini API Key 保存在当前 Chrome 配置的 chrome.storage.local 中。建议为 Live Translate 单独创建一个 Gemini API Key，并在 Google Cloud 中设置适当的 API 限制、配额和预算提醒。

Your Gemini API key is stored in chrome.storage.local in your current Chrome profile. We recommend using a dedicated Gemini API key for Live Translate and applying appropriate API restrictions, quota limits, and budget alerts in Google Cloud.

8. 隐私政策变更 / Changes to This Privacy Policy

如果未来版本的数据处理方式发生实质变化，本页面将更新相应说明和“最后更新”日期。

If a future version materially changes how data is handled, this page and the “Last updated” date will be updated accordingly.
